Our Pastor
The Reverend Warren Seibert was ordained to the Christian ministry in 1999 by the Reformed Church in America, a denomination who shares the same traditions and teachings in theology, worship, government, and mission as the Presbyterian Church (USA). His father is also a pastor in the Reformed Church in America.
Pastor Warren has lived throughout New Jersey, attending elementary and high school in Jersey City, receiving an Associate degree in Nursing from the County College of Morris in Randolph, a Bachelor in Arts degree in Humanities from Thomas Edison State College in Trenton, and a Master of Divinity degree from New Brunswick Theological Seminary.
Before being ordained as a Christian minister, he worked as a Registered Nurse for 12 years in the Emergency/Critical Care departments of several New Jersey hospitals. He has previously served as the senior pastor of the St. Johns Reformed Church in Red Hook, New York. He began his pastorate here at the United Presbyterian Church of Belvidere in November 2002. Presently, while serving here, he is pursuing a Doctor in Ministry degree at Covenant Theological Seminary.
Pastor Warren calls himself an evangelical Christian and states that his ministry rests upon several foundational beliefs: the sovereignty of God alone, justification by faith alone, salvation in Jesus Christ alone, the inspiration and infallibility of the Bible, and the priesthood of all believers.
His wife, Ruth, was raised in Belfast, Northern Ireland, in the Presbyterian Church of Ireland, and works as a Registered Nurse. She enjoys singing in the choir and teaching in the Sunday School. They have three children in their household, two sons and a daughter. As a family, they enjoy camping fishing, hiking, and canoeing together.
